An unimagined self!

It can be a tuff pill to swallow the idea that an undesirable behavior or action could possibly be anything you are or have within you. After all, we are NOT like others, especially if they are displaying ‘unacceptable’ behaviors.

What we witness in another are observations, not necessarily that we are like that but that we can and do have the potential for that behavior.

I believe we are being shown that possibility, and that is the perfect moment to check in with ourselves. Not to judge ourselves or another by affirming, “I’m not like that.” But to understand that sometimes the unacceptable behavior is NOT about us but about them working out their lives.

The next time you see a reflection of a particular behavior you don’t think you like or are, just remember it is just showing us what we too are capable of, but not necessarily who or what we are.

Our encounters with others are the perfect opportunity for expansion. This is where we learn, compassion, self-awareness and to judge less, open more.

Are people a reflection? Yes, they show us who we are, not so much about who they are.

I am poetically clear about my beliefs which are subject to change as I change and gain more insight. Simply put, I know nothing and everything.
