Sometimes you have to pull the rug out!

Everybody wants to play nice…I know I do… and while that is true for the most part, the reality is we don’t.

It is not that we mean to stir the pot, but let’s face it… Shit happens. Emotions get in the way, old wounds get called to the surface, and the rug gets pulled out, and all hell can break loose.

We are all wounded, somewhere, from something, or someone…

No exceptions; our feelings are sticky… and words, actions, and responses stick.

So what do we do? Well, we can engage and be seen as the bad guy, or we can stuff it and see ourselves as the BIGGER person, uh huh, we all know how that goes down. Keeping it real has its price, no doubt, but in the long run, we will be better for being true to ourselves.

When we Purposely keep the peace, so we don’t rock the boat and/or shake up the status quo, we can end up having an internal war within, and there is a huge price to pay for continually backing down. Backing down can and does cause resentment(s), and that my friends… is a fertile breeding ground for dis~ease.

Conscious compromise is great and has its place, but habitually overriding the situation and suffering is optional.  Stand in YOUR Truth with self-compassion, forgive yourself, for you have done nothing wrong.  Life is messy!

There comes a time when you have to show up for yourself.

There comes a time when you stand up for yourself.

There comes a time when you have to stand
in YOUR Truth.

There comes a time when you need to shake

shit up!

AT the end of the day it is you and you.

I am poetically clear about my beliefs which are subject to change as I change and gain more insight. Simply put; I AM and with that I have FAITH in; Myself.

  1. Really Good One ! Hit’s home. . . As you knew it would. Lol. . . I have been guilty of not rocking the boat many a time, and have paid a price for it internally. . . I have gotten better at it, and now I choose my battles, because sometimes it’s about me letting go of my shit, not confronting someone elses. It is enlightening to know the difference.

  2. Excellent, and don’t budge baby. Everybody will have an ‘opinion’ about what you ‘should’ do. Do you, be kind to yourself and stand in YOUR truth. Don’t show up for the attack, just stay in your own lane, there is no traffic there. I have been there, and I no longer defend myself for there is nothing to defend. You will find finger pointers, judging you, don’t judge them just let it go, find peace within and let the miracles happen. I am happy this came in Divine timing. It always does.
