Seismic Shake-up!

Standing on Shaky Grounds!

It’s inevitable, things are going to shake, rattle, and roll at some point in our lives, actually, many times. There’s an energy that permeates throughout life that won’t be denied.

Falling down, falling apart feels like shit, feels like it is the end-all.

We might feel like we failed. We can feel embarrassed. Feel like a victim.

We are angry; why me we might be saying.

When we wake-up from the initial thrust, the shock, and awe of the circumstance(s) is when, that window period, that moment of opportunity gives us a glimpse of what this shakeup, this reorganization was teaching us.

If we are willing to accept that there is no such thing as the ‘settled,’ we can then begin to build a stronger foundation. Stronger character, Stronger roots.

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.”
― Martha Graham

We are, at all times, under seismic construction, and we never know when that is going to erupt, or how deep it will thrust us. But if we are brave and we survive the cataclysmic event, we are forever rearranged.

How that shift looks depends on how we choose to experience the construct of the inward journey to recovery.

Vulnerability is part of the human condition. For in the howling wasteland of despair, we unearth our resiliency once the storm has settled.

Nothing lasts forever, baby, at least not here on planet earth. Our most significant breakthroughs will often arrive during moments of despair and a feeling of hopelessness. That unnoticed ‘surrender.’

Life is built on teardowns, change, and unforeseen opportunities.

When change comes, and we feel a threat to our human existence, instead of holding on, let’s loosen our grip, and find our balance on shaky grounds.

It’s time to lean in and get closer to the absolute truth of who we are; resilient, eternal, and unshakeable.

When life unravels, if we can trust the darkness we’ve been thrust in is temporary, and when it stops shaking will begin to move us towards our next fertile direction.

When you feel like your ground is shaking you up and it appears that is will never stop. “We all know it will eventually.”

This shake-up is our cry for transformation, and when our lives are falling apart, there is bound to be chaos.

You can decide how you will react to this reorganization.

You can resist, and we all know that it is futile.

We can experience the fear and know that the most powerful healing tool in our spirit tool kit is; HOW WE CHOOSE TO SEE IT, FEEL IT, AND EXPERIENCE IT.

We can choose to embrace the resistance, hold on, get curious about what is to come next.

But while you are in the curious state;

Notice

Who are you?

Who are you becoming?

Whats is transforming you.

If it feels like you’re dying, that’s your mind telling you that.

Don’t believe everything your mind says.

Bring your attention homeward bound; that is where you will find shelter from the storm. That is the space you can meet yourself over and over again and again.

Remember; No matter what happens, you’ll be just Super Fine.

“When things are shaky, and nothing is working, we might realize that we are on the verge of something. We might realize that this is a very vulnerable and tender place, and that tenderness can go either way. We can shut down and feel resentful, or we can touch in on that throbbing quality. I am poetically clear about my beliefs which are subject to change as I change and gain more insight. Simply put; I AM and with that I have FAITH in; Myself.

  1. My Dear Friend. . . This one got me good. . . so good that I’ve read it twice and will probably read it several more. . . Facing that shakey ground on a number of levels right now. Your words, as always, help me to find some balance. . . to think and feel beyond what I am. . . to move through these shakey times of my life, instead of fighting them and assuming the outcome will be negative. Deep breath. . . Thank you for helping me redirect the wasted energy I put into things I can’t change, and are not happy about, that simply just need time to play out.
