Day Four of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge: Play
Today I invite you to practice being silly, do not worrying about what other people think, they will only be wishing they would give themselves permission to be playful too; So, play and interact with your life, with the people you meet, with yourself, with your family. Have fun and go get your playfulness on!
What can you do to bring more fun time into your life? There are many places, people, situations, and great opportunities to begin having fun: with yourself, at work, at home, with friends, with your partner, just start where you are.
When you are doing something that is “UNFUN” such as waiting in a line, sitting in traffic or doing the same ole same ole at work, see if you can add some silliness to the situation. The perfect opportunity to find joy and fun is always available to us, we must let go and want it; all we have to do is to turn the ‘not so fun’ stuff into something silly, even if it seems ridiculous; The belly laugh will be well worth it.
Reach back in your memory bank and remember when we were kids and played tricks and games on people, we did get a good laugh, and it makes for great storytelling. Become an adult child.
There is always an opportunity to be playful, remember your creative nature and want to bring more joy into your otherwise predictable life. Reawaken the magical qualities of presence, joy, and laughter into your life, you will not regret one moment of joyfulness in your life, no one does.
Today’s Affirmation: I play and interact with the dance of playful opportunities in my life. Have a blast! Dolby Dharma
Grown-ups never understand anything for themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them. ~Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince, 1943
