Surrender, how scary is that? To free fall, let go, and not be attached to the outcome. Leaving the what if’s out. Yes, we make plans, yes we want it our way, but the truth is, shit happens, and we still try to do damage control. What is freedom? Freedom is everywhere, in the sunrise, the mountains, the air, it is all around us, it is ethereal, the unseen magic. The Universe is much bigger than us and consists of many, many interconnected events and situations that are always in motion. To trust and open our heart mind, and surrender to whatever comes next is allowing life to unfold naturally. We have a plan; then we move on without being to vested in the ‘what ifs.’ Trust is essential to live a life in joy, peace and moments of happiness.
When I say to surrender, I am not saying give up or that everything will come out ok all the time. It is an energic willingness letting you off the hook of trying to control the outcomes. We don’t have that kind of power, and it can waste our energy, and sometimes create the very thing we feared would happen. So for today, let go of your expectations and feel the weightlessness of life, not the gravity of ‘what ifs.’
Surrender can be likened to making the leap and just let go
with a sense of calm resolve that you will safely land as intended, and so it is!
The next time you are looking to be more effective, look for the path of least resistance. The art of surrendering is the surest way to find this path. Amanda Linehan
