My way, your way, the highway!

right-wrong

I was raised with people telling me there is a ‘right way’ and a ‘wrong way’ to do things along with what to believe. We all have our biggest influence, our parents. Of course, my parents had their rule book of right and wrong and we were to follow it or catch hell. Their way of getting the point across was to instill fear in us most of the time as a tactic to get it right. I spent many years in therapy stressed out over people always telling me what was right or wrong for me. No wonder I could not catch a sense of self for so long. Living on other people’s opinions of right and wrong, doubting myself for the sake of not doing it right or getting it wrong. There is a fine line in the right/wrong arena of life, and it is very subjective.
Each of us makes decisions based on personality, beliefs, values, circumstances, ability, and many other factors that are diverse and variable.
There are many roads that lead to the beach, there is no right or wrong way to get there, just the way you want to go. For now, I will continue to live with an open mind, I will go merrily down my path, choosing for myself, what works for me and honoring what works for you, whether I agree with your way or not, I acknowledge that it is your way, and not mine. It’s a practice to let go of what is right or wrong, it is a gift to allow life to unfold. It’s an excellent opportunity to see things as they are! Have it YOUR way!

“You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.” ~Friedrich Nietzsche

I am poetically clear about my beliefs which are subject to change as I change and gain more insight. Simply put, I know nothing and everything.
