Naked and afraid…Just thinking about the word naked can be a scary word, thought or way of being for some of us. The first thought that rolls in for some are; I’m not getting naked. But that is not the kind of naked I am talking about here. I am talking about peeling away the layers of life that have grown over your body, mind, and soul.
Getting naked is staying true to our own vision and style of being in spite of the well-intended advice of others. Getting naked is being true to thyself, beating to your own path even when it goes against the vision of others.
We are tribal in nature, and we forget how different we all are even though we appear to be the same. As quoted by
Dare to take off your mask and live a life that feels right for you, have faith in your insights. The journey inward can be the most arduous for many of us. To peel away the layers that have been covered up by shame, fear and insecurities are challenging but yet, the most rewarding mission we shall live. Getting naked is not for the ‘faint of heart.’ Deep down in each of us is a warrior calling us out.
Each day, let go of who you think you are and live who you know you are. Uncover your truth and beauty!
So much love Dolby Dharma
“The moment that you feel, just possibly, you are walking down the street naked, exposing too much of your heart and your mind, and what exists on the inside, showing too much of yourself… that is the moment you might be starting to get it right.” ~Neil Gaiman
