Do you love me?

“Do you love me?” Alice asked.

“No, I don’t love you,” replied the White Rabbit gently.

Alice frowned and clasped her hands together, feeling the familiar sting of seeking validation outside herself.

“See?” the White Rabbit observed with quiet clarity. “Notice how quickly your mind jumps to construct a narrative—asking what makes you imperfect, or what you must fix to earn what you think is missing. But love isn’t a commodity to be handed from one person to another. It isn’t something external for you to chase or acquire.

Love is what you are at your core. It is your foundational nature.

When people fail to reflect love back to you, it isn’t because love is absent. It is simply that they are asleep to their own true nature, buried beneath heavy layers of conditioning, fear, and acquired beliefs. They live within the stories their minds have spun, unaware of the light beneath.

And yet, every interaction serves a higher purpose. Without even realizing it, the people in your life play essential roles in your awakening. Through their distance, their noise, or their inability to see you, they act as mirrors. They nudge you to stop looking outward and finally look within—peeling back your own stories until you recognize the unshakeable presence that has been there all along.”
