It’s incredible how much power our thoughts can have over our everyday routines. They can affect us from the minute we wake up in the morning to when we finally hit the hay at night.
We can learn to take control of our thoughts and become more mindful. By doing so, we can start to accept what is happening around us instead of constantly wishing for something else. This can lead to a greater sense of peace and contentment in life.

As you develop greater mindfulness of your thoughts and emotions, you may discern that you could be more consistently at ease with your internal state. It is reasonable to experience the impulse to take action; nevertheless, the most advantageous course of action is to permit yourself to relax. It may seem counterintuitive, but attempting to suppress the discomfort only intensifies it.
As an observer, it’s crucial to remember that any disturbances you may be experiencing are separate from you. By mastering the art of relaxation and abstaining from engaging with any detrimental energies within, you can effortlessly observe without entangling yourself in your thoughts and emotions. Though initially challenging, this can become a habitual and easy process with consistent practice.
To start:

- Take a deep breath and let your body unwind. Try to let go of any tension you may be holding onto.
- Taking a step back from overwhelming thoughts and emotions can be pretty helpful.
- It’s essential to keep in mind that your thoughts and emotions don’t define who you are. You’re simply the one who’s watching them.
You can create a sense of space and find peace within yourself with practice.
My book recommendation.
