When the trigger gets pulled!

When the trigger in us gets pulled, that is the perfect moment for inquiry. That is the moment you start to have a conversation with yourself, and it won’t be considered mentally fucked up. That’s the moment when class is in session. We have all heard the expression; “When the student is ready the master will appear.” The masters being ‘other’ people.

We all show up for each other in many ways. I don’t always love it when it is happening, but when the dust settles, It’s like magic when the message is understood; The ‘AHA’ moment.  The moment of responsibility. Take blame and shame out of your game plan.

Healing is not about wiping our feelings away, it is about understanding and knowing ourselves more. It is taking responsibility for our own hurts, wounds, triggers. The ‘triggers’ are a cry for self-love, self-care, and self-acceptance.  Time to get in the game and show some compassion for yourself.

Suggestion; Sit with your fear, disappointment, embarrassment, irritation, resentment, anger, sadness, or jealousy and just own those feelings.

Allow your feelings to become so heavy that they pierce your heart, let yourself bathe for a moment in feeling sad, sorry and helpless, just for a moment. A  Divine experience will start to unfold. What once was will parish to the past. You will step into the now. Your sense of self-compassion will arise and what doesn’t serve you anymore will slowly dissolve into the abyss. Your heart will expand as will your ability to have compassion for yourself and others. It isn’t always easy, but it is the only way to heal.

Each moment I invite you to forgive yourself or another for a perceived mistake and treat it gently.   Cheers to Courage, Dolby Dharma

“The only reason we don’t open our hearts and minds to other people is that they trigger confusion in us that we don’t feel brave enough or sane enough to deal with. To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, we feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else’s eyes. ”
