The New Moon is here today. Take advantage of this powerful phase it a way to get the day started, especially in this season of giving, we’ll need a lot of energy for the day, weeks and year ahead, so give yourselves a little extra time to fill your own cups, not to the rim but enough not to become thirsty or deplete yourself.
Don’t become, so thirsty that you run on empty and the only thing you can focus on is filling yourself up. When someone asks me; is your cup half full or half empty, I reply; BOTH. It is about the balance. We need to release emotions, people, and things to receive and be mindful as to where we are.
If you are full to the rim, empty your cup, make space for healing, receiving and restoring.
A friend once told me years ago, and it stayed with me. Never let your tank of gas get below half because once you do, it will get away from you and shit starts to happen; panic sets in and clear thinking go out with the wind. It is incredible how we can liken ourselves to nature, structures, songs, and people. Metaphors are great ways to remind us to find the balance; some of my favorites; let go or get dragged, and Running on empty, etc.
BUT...Remember the cup: its value is in the space, in the emptiness, it holds, that is where the balance is; where we can receive knowledge, love, and people.’ Be more mindful of the element of space, openness, possibility, reserve capacity, and emptiness in your life, that is the refueling period. There is a time to refuel, but we won’t know that if we are thirsty, spent and unaware.
Tis the season to listen, embrace the cosmos and worship the sun, stars and moon. Those magnificent wonders speak to the heart.
“I am centered and alive. I am full and inspired. I am grateful and loved. I accept and embrace my truth.”
“Together, we overcome the drought of happiness and goodness, by seeing our glasses half full and helping fill others’ glasses back up with love.”
