“We be trippin”

Surfs up…

I read a book many moons ago by Jon Kabat-Zinn, “Wherever you go, there you are.”

Such a cliche’ saying, but as long as we are Trippin here on mother earth, it kinda looks like that.

Some of us walk around dazed and confused. BTW one of my favorite Zep songs. That we hardly notice ourselves. Especially today, with all the stimuli happening, we’ve basically shut ourselves down to ourselves so we can field the foreign energy we are handling.

If only we tuned into our selves and our surroundings without the excess stimuli begging for us to tune its frequencies. We can begin to notice ourselves in a way that can be incredibly healing. These days it appears we are strolling through this life very much distracted and unaware.

It feels at times like;  ‘life on autopilot.’

Wake-up, busy doing, sleep, and repeat.

So what are we to do?????

A powerful way to live. Not for all, But for some of us, is to notice when we are strolling through life and observe what we are drawn towards. Maybe for just a second; Instead of reacting or participating in a fast pace frequency,  we can pause, observe, and get to know yourself even if it is just for a moment.

As quoted by Jon Kabat-Zinn, “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf .”

We can surf life on our own terms, not what is dictated to us.

If we accept this challenge to feel ourselves more, (and it can be a challenge), not what is taking us over. We just might wake up a little and realize we have choices, that we don’t have to follow the herd, that we can stop and go in a different direction, or do something other than what we have dialed into.

We can breathe the moment into our cells, our thoughts, and the spirit within;

Maybe with that pause, we can appreciate knowing our heart-beat, taking in the breath, changing up the mindset.

We might experience a moment of freedom a form of separation, experiencing that we have held ourselves captive and that we could not feel ourselves, but now we can begin to lose the old self-limiting beliefs and patterns that deny us the very freedom we believe we have.  That was a mouthful.

This self-realized expansion is born out of disappointment and learning to live without certainty and our addictions. We can only know them when we become aware of ourselves. Then we can let them be who they are, without resistance, without judgments and experience ourselves fully alive, even if it is only for a deep inhale and exhale.

This way, we get to explore more, not less for all that has happened will continue to happen through us, for us, and within us.

That peace is found in the adjustments we make for ourselves each moment.

That is what it means to be in a constant meditation to me. Not drowning out the voices in our minds, but to let them have their say. ‘SURFS UP’

This incredible awareness allows us to accept life as it comes with all its grace; we can make adjustments as “WE” see fit. So, grab your Soul Surfboard and ride the wave of recovery.  “GONE SURFING’

I am poetically clear about my beliefs which are subject to change as I change and gain more insight. Simply put, I know nothing and everything.
