Don’t always follow the Crowd
Crowd, mob, or herd mentality is a subconscious state of being.
We are social in nature. Therefore, we tend to get downloaded with other peoples opinions ideas, and ways of being. As a result, it becomes imprinted in the subconscious mind, and that subconscious mind drives are waking state. That is why practicing awareness is critical to one’s sense of self-awareness as well as self-esteem and self-love.
We are quickly influenced by our parents, friends, and society at large. Not all that information is bad if it is viewed and processed as just information for YOU to decide.
When we are not thinking for ourselves and lose our sense of self to a crowd mentality that is where we lose our sense of direction. We start doubting ourselves, can’t make decisions and if we are not following the crowd someone will tell us we are wrong, which adds more doubt when you are not in your own alignment.
When you look around and see how most of us want to be unique and stand out but look and act like everyone else, it is pretty crazy.
Thoughtful reflection of our social influence can lead us to a greater awareness of ourselves and our relationships with others.
But, the ever-present But, it is always wise to check with yourself first before stepping off the curb.
Say it out loud today, I am already in perfect alignment. I stay true to myself!
“The greatest fear in the world is of the opinions of others. And the moment you are unafraid of the crowd you are no longer a sheep, you become a lion. A great roar arises in your heart, the roar of freedom.”― Osho
