It is true, every day while I play-I am having an affair with life- I fool around and fall in love—with my beautiful life.
When I live in the past or future, I miss out on the freedom and peace in the now.
When you are silly about love and this unpredictable life, you just might fall into the trimmings of what feels fantastic.
When something, someone, or someplace feels good, we want to embody the feeling(s) and manifest the living high. Yep HIGH on life!
When life gets messy and imperfect and even if I don’t have all I want or things go array that is my moment, my opportunity to cave in or branch out…in fact, I finally woke up years ago that it will always be messy and imperfect, totally fucked-up at times…
I will still want more answers, more experiences, more people, more breathe, so I may as well get into the game and enjoy the long and winding road…
Having tried the disillusioned, disheartened route, I can tell you with absolute certainty that loving and embracing the unpredictable life is way more adventurous than caving into the misery of what did not happen because of expectations.
The one unremitting aspect I can count on in life— is myself. Wherever I go, whatever I do or think I take me with me, whether I like it or not—and I do.
Falling in love with your life requires a willingness and a reflection of the possible, but mostly it’s about surrendering and tuning in—to your authentic self and to the world and people around you, as they are, not as you wish them to be. Kinda like wearing those rose-colored glasses, we make fun of.
“If we look at the world with a love of life, the world will reveal its beauty to us.” ~Daisaku Ikeda
When we’re not fully present, we become comfortably numb.
Sipping in each moment brings about an engagement to “what is “—rather than living in your mind, over-thinking about what is next to come, or musing over what has past—can really deepen your appreciation and keep you from feeling that sense of emptiness that results from living somewhere other than the here and now.
You may even be surprised by how easy it is to discover new things or remember pieces of information when you start to fully tune in to fooling around and falling in love with life as it presents itself.
