What you run away from-runs towards you

Whatever you try to run away from will keep running towards you–it’s the law of the vibration.

We think we can outrun by running fast or shove it away by distracting ourselves with addictions.

The more we try to run away, the closer we get towards whatever we are running from.

Running away only gets us more exhausted, and it certainly doesn’t bring us peace, joy, and equanimity.

As Eckhart Tolle says, “Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists.”

The faster we try to run away from a dog, the quicker dog runs towards us.

The more we fear, the bigger our fear becomes.

The more we try to get rid of addictions, the harder it becomes.

The more we run away from difficult people, the more we seem to attract difficult people in our lives.

The more we get scared of bullies, the more we get bullied.

The more we want to run away from bad relationships, the more our relationships turn sour.

The more we try not to get hurt or upset, the more we get upset and hurt.

The more we try to run away from depression, the more we get depressed.

The more we try to win, the harder it becomes to win.

The more you try to run away from negativity, the more negative situations will come towards us.

The more we try to forget painful memories, the more it will haunt us.

The more we try not to think about something, the more it will stay in our thoughts.

The only way out is to stop running, take a deep breath and face it, let it come in full throttle, be in its face to face, with an attitude of no turning back.

Face our feelings, fears, hurt, pain, anxieties, stress.

Insight and being present face to face is the way out of it.

Being present with what we are feeling will open the mind to freedom.

Most of the time, we will see that it was not that scary when we face whatever it was that we were resisting; and that it was the mind that spun the story around it and created the fear and resistance.

Short-term pain, fear, guilt; the things we are resisting– facing them is much better than the continuous story of fear we might live in forever.

Facing ‘it’ will uncover the mystery; hence solve the puzzle that wasn’t a puzzle, to begin with; it was the mind that put all those thoughts there in the first place.

This unraveling of what is causing the resistance is building blocks to the next level of our freedom.

“Most of us have two lives. The life we live, and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance.” ― Steven Pressfield

    1. Exactly–We can only meet ourselves in the mindset we believe ourselves to be, therefore, we make everything up, we become our beliefs. Remember this;
      You are the teacher,
      you are the student.
You are the world you live in.
      You are the dreamer.
You are the stories you believe in.
You want a different outcome, script, etc.
Change the mind that put them there In the first place. 🥰
