I read a book many moons ago by Jon Kabat-Zinn, “Wherever you go, there you are.”
A walking meditation about tuning into yourself and surroundings…This can be a powerful way to live if you practice strolling through life mindfully, in an awareness that you don’t react to, but observe and get to know yourself better. Now that is a ‘mindful’ because we are strolling through this life lately very much distracted and not very conscious. I mean this with no disrespect either. It is just this wave of technology is taking over fast, but slowly under the minds radar.
As quoted by Jon Kabat-Zinn; “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf .”
You wake up daily and realize you are all things; beautiful knowing all your scars, you are free knowing you have held yourself captive and that you could not feel love without loss. That faith is born out of disappointment and trust is learning to live without certainty. This is the way you get to feel more, not less for all that has happened will continue to happen through you, for you, and within you. That is what it means to be in a constant meditation to me. This incredible awareness that just allows me to accept life as it comes make adjustments as “I” see fit. So, I grab my surfboard and ride the wave of life.
Your life is vast like the ocean
The weather is perfect
You are the gifted surfer
Don’t miss the wave
The conditions are perfect.~ Dolby Dharma
“Mindful inquiry can heal low self-esteem, for the
simple reason that a low self-estimation is really a wrong calculation, a
misperception of reality.”~ Jon Kabat-Zinn
