What do you do when someone hurts you?
When someone who hardly knows you judges you?
Or when someone who knows you well, and apparently doesn’t know themselves,
uses something or does something super mean to hurt you?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you allow their negative actions to disturb your inner peace?
Is your interior castle in disarray?
Do you become emotional Velcro
And let it stick right to your heart space, your mind, your essence?
Are you a target for more aggression, more bullshit or, punishment?
Do you buy into someone else’s BS about you?
Is the aggression true?
Did it ever occur to you that they are or might be projecting their own nonsense onto you?
And… anything they do is NOT about YOU, but about THEM?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Or… do you return to your own inner illumination
and let that dissenting energy slide right off of you like emotional Teflon?
Are you aware that this is your choice?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can hand over your power, by letting your energy merge with the negative experience, OR you can let it flow right over you,
disallowing it from tarnishing your aura, and receive the gift of self-love.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s always up to you.
Because as you know, as much as we sometimes want to control others,
you cannot control what other people do to you.
But… you CAN control how you REACT.
By not believing in the provocation, knowing YOUR truth,
you are letting yourself stay FREE, and you are FREEING the other.
Don’t let life become your stalemate, show up for yourself!

“Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course, you’ll hurt me. Of course, we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence means accepting the risk of absence.”

Wow what a great post! This came at the right time currently trying my best not to internalize something negative I’ve been told recently. Thank you for your words of affirmation 🌷

Remember everyone who shoes up for you is an opportunity for you to forgive yourself, for you are innocent. So next time you notice that judgmental thought, don’t try to fix it, deny it, or change it by yourself. Simply acknowledge that it is there, and be willing to give it to the Holy Spirit, Divine guidance, or whatever you call your higher power and ask for a miracle to replace it instead.
Complexity is only of the ego. Truth asks us to do so little. Stand in your truth!
