The Magic Of Self-love
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserves your love and affection” ~ Gautama Buddha What happens when we love ourselves fiercely?
Loving ourselves will bring benefits that will FREE us up because we will have NO time for the nonsense that weighs us down.
I am whole and perfect with all my imperfections.
When I accept myself the way I am (my deeper unconditioned self); interestingly enough, my outer behavior or self-defeating habits start changing naturally. There is a natural shedding, a letting go of weighted comparisons and negative self-talk.
I stop the comparison.
When I truly love myself, I stop comparing myself to others. I quit telling myself negative stories about what I don’t have in comparison to their treasures. I know others are unique, awesome and inspiring in their own way and so am I.
I can change my inner voice.
I know that I can be unkind on myself and be my worst critic. I learn how to embrace my inner voice to give me constructive feedback and not damage my sense of self.
Kindness and compassion begin with self.
The moment I start accepting and loving myself; I find more compassion for others too. I foster kind thoughts and take generous actions for myself and others.
What others think of me is none of my business.
One of my favorite books by Terri Cole Whittaker; What others think is only their business, not mine. My business is to respect myself enough not to worry about what others are thinking about when it pertains to me. And my business is to stay away from such thoughts and keep on doing ME.
I am responsible for my JOY.
When I love myself, that means I take full responsibility for my joy-filled-ness. Others do not need to do anything to make me happy. That empowers me and every single relationship of mine. Joy and satisfaction reflect in my relationships.
Each day I unravel MY own insight and grace myself with a fierce sense of self. There is an abundance of untapped magic within me! Dolby Dharma
The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself, everything that you want you already are. ~ Rumi
