Have you experienced a crash and burn in your life? Running out of energy, feeling depleted emotionally and physically. Doing things for others when you don’t want to? Being all things for everyone to keep the peace, be liked and not start a fight?
That is not an act of self-care or self-love, that is YOU going down in flames. When we take care of ourselves, we are indeed taking care of others too. Unfortunately, some of us have a hard time wrapping our minds around that idea. In this ‘what about me’ time of our lives, it is no wonder we get caught up in the doings of life.
Time to start a movement here, a teaching moment for our friends, family, co-workers, and people in general. After all, the mirror is always up!
What does that mask look like?
1. Your own feelings.
2. Your own thoughts.
3. Your own actions.
4. Protecting your life force (your energy) and your gifts with loving boundaries.
5. Listening to your own inner guidance, and honoring it.
6. Your integrity.
7. Your healing.
8. Loving your Self.
Each day I set up clear personal boundaries to mark out my own space.
After me, you come first.
In Lak’ech ( I am the other YOU) So much love Dolby Dharma
