ME day can be an unselfish day.
Do something nice for yourself!
Unless you are a complete narcissist, you are probably someone who is thinking of others first and doing for others first. When was the last time you did something nice for YOU?
Putting yourself first is a BIG part of self-love care.
Self-love is a practice, and when you understand what SE really is, you are available to receive all the abundance life brings to you.
How many times did you feel guilty because you put yourself first? Maybe you called in sick, and you weren’t; you just did not want to be there. Have you said, ‘NO’ when you knew you could have, you just did not want to do whatever it was?
These examples might not feel like a self=love practice, but they are. When that tiny voice in you heart-mind says one thing, but your ego-mind says another that is the contrast talking. The ‘ME’ self is asking for something; that is the one you want to please in that moment, that is your ‘self’ needing something other than what the external calling wants.
Say ‘YES’ to YOU more often; No one else can offer these acts of love to you. My mantra to my children as they were growing up, and still to this day: “After ME, you come First.”
Your mantra; I stay true to what matters most. I find my own rhythm and rejoice in the wholeness that I AM.
“Self-love requires you to be honest about your current choices and thought patterns and undertake new practices that reflect self-worth.” ~Caroline Kirk
